Information is not passed on without your consent unless it is within the confines of the NHS and even that is on “strictly need to know to be able to provide care“ basis or by court order, or if it is in the public interest to protect safety of everyone in the public.
Certain anonymised patient data may be shared for the purposes of public health and audit, research, teaching and training. This practice is registered under the Data Protection Act 2018. All staff maintain confidentiality of patients’ records.
